About this Speaker

Nick believes coaching can become the defining form of conversation for how we each face the world and make sense of ourselves in it.

He is the founder and CEO of Animas Centre for Coaching, a global leader in transformational coach training, which has trained almost 4000 coaches across the world.

As a philosophically oriented coach and coaching supervisor, he is fascinated by how we make sense of ourselves in the world and the mental paradigms from which we operate that shape our experience and actions.

Nick established Animas in 2008 to provide training in innovative approaches to coaching that built on psychological and philosophical principles. Over time, he developed his thinking further around transformative coaching delivering a number of presentations on philosophical perspectives on coaching and human change.

Nick has coached since the early 2000s, firstly working within the public sector through his own education and training business before becoming an existential life coach, group coach, business mentor and coaching trainer.

Passionate about best practice and deepening coaching practice, Nick also established the International Centre for Coaching Supervision to provide high-quality supervision training around the world. In just one year, his supervision school has attracted passionate coaches from across the globe with supervisors now in Indonesia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Kenya, USA and throughout Europe.

He is currently writing his first book on transformative coaching, due in 2022, and is set to deliver a groundbreaking series of lectures on transformative coaching beginning in January 2022.

After a three year sabbatical cruising around the UK with his wife in their narrowboat, he is excited to continue the journey of developing coaching as a truly respected and normal practice for how people navigate the complexity of life in the 21st century.
